Michael Roth is an accomplished civil litigator whose practice focuses on complex entertainment and business litigation, and also cases brought under California’s consumer protection laws. Mr. Roth represents both plaintiffs and defendants, and handles class actions in both state and federal courts. In addition, Mr. Roth is often called on to represent clients through the appellate process and has obtained successful results on numerous appeals before the Ninth Circuit, the California Court of Appeal, and the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County.
Mr. Roth joined Caldwell Leslie & Proctor after clerking for the Honorable A. Wallace Tashima, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall, United States District Court for the Central District of California. Prior to that, Mr. Roth was an associate at Latham & Watkins in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Before attending law school, Mr. Roth worked for several years in the music industry as the Director of Alternative Music at an internationally known record label before starting his own independent record company.
