Alison Mackenzie joined Caldwell Leslie in March 2007 after completing a clerkship with the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Ms. Mackenzie graduated from Yale Law School in 2005, where she participated in the Immigration Clinic of the Jerome N. Frank Legal Services Organization and served as a research assistant for Professor Judith Resnik. Prior to law school, Ms. Mackenzie worked on a U.S. Senate race and directed programming at the Women Faculty Forum at Yale University.

Ms. Mackenzie's practice includes civil, criminal and appellate litigation. She worked with Christopher Caldwell and Andrew Esbenshade to obtain summary judgment in favor of Warner Bros. against plaintiffs who alleged that the studio's film We Are Marshall infringed the copyright in their documentary. Along with David Codell and Sandra Tholen, Ms. Mackenzie represented a mother of twins pro bono to successfully oppose a petition for certiorari to the United States Supreme Court brought by a sperm donor who sought parental rights. Ms. Mackenzie is also part of the trial team in a criminal case involving allegations of stock options backdating.
