Laurie Martindale joined Caldwell Leslie in 2007 after completing a clerkship with the Honorable Kevin S.C. Chang, United States Magistrate Judge for the District of Hawaii. Ms. Martindale graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 2005, where she served as a legal volunteer for Shelter Legal Services and a teacher volunteer for We the Students, a civic education program for high school students. During law school, Ms. Martindale also externed for the Honorable David Alan Ezra, United States District Judge for the District of Hawaii, and completed internships at the United States Attorney’s Office in Rhode Island and the American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii.

Before attending law school, Ms. Martindale lived in France for a year and taught English to French high school students.

Ms. Martindale's practice focuses on a broad range of business litigation in state and federal courts. Her experience at the firm has included labor and employment disputes, entertainment and intellectual property issues, and a range of litigation and investigations arising from the subprime mortgage crisis. Ms. Martindale has also worked on a variety of pro bono matters. Most notably, she helped an 86-year-old victim of elder abuse recover his house and other assets that had been taken from him as a part of a "gypsy scam."

Ms. Martindale worked on an ABA national task force with David K. Willingham and other attorneys nationwide regarding Upjohn Co. v. United States, and participated in drafting a report containing suggested practices to be used by attorneys nationwide during internal investigations.
