Banking and Mortgage Litigation

Caldwell Leslie & Proctor has more than twenty years of litigation experience in banking and mortgage cases involving claims against directors and officers in both private litigation and government investigations and/or litigation. Our experience includes investigations by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Office of Thrift Supervision, the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Department of Treasury, and the Department of Justice.

We regularly deal with government investigators and lawyers, as well as with the opposition’s counsel. In all these matters, we have achieved remarkable results for our clients in getting cases dismissed or resolved fully, and in ensuring that no suit is ever filed—or charges are never brought—against our clients.

Of particular importance in many banking and mortgage matters, we have been approved by numerous insurance carriers in a number of matters and have worked with their counsel to minimize both our clients’ and the insurance carriers’ exposure.

This is a unique area of the law where expertise counts and our attorneys have an impressive record of experience and success with these matters—as demonstrated by our list of representative cases.
